This page describes the differences between private and public templates.

Private templates can be used by template owners only. Public templates can use anyone with access to Jira. Read the table below for detailed information.

Jira administrator can manage all templates which are on the current Jira instance.

Template type selection

You can select template type during template creation or update. This change will not impact the template execution calendar.
